Abstract

The objective of this study was to document, in broad terms, the processes used in Australian universities for admitting students who do not come directly from school. As such, this report presents the results from a survey of 30 Australian, public universities conducted in 2005. It is important to note that the survey referred to the situation prior to the 2006 oversupply/under-demand scenario. If the survey had been conducted in 2006 the perspectives of the admission offices' may have been different.
