Abstract
"Where are they?" A haunting question that often proves the hardest to answer in criminal investigations. Missing persons and no-body homicide cases are some of the most difficult to investigate and solve. Even when police locate a body, understanding why the victim was put there requires further investigation. This book develops Winthropping, a method designed to profile placement of caches. Using theories and practical considerations, over 30 real-world cases are reviewed under the newly developed Winthropping approach. This book is aimed at helping those interested in either finding hidden sites or understanding why a particular site was chosen.
