Abstract
This book attempts to indentify the theory that has inform the work of the physical theatre company Performance [Re]Search - work that has focused on the use of the body as an instrument for writing theatre - and illustrates how this theory has been investigated and deployed in the making of performance. Previously unpublished material has been assembled from the company’s four major productions: Living is a Horizontal Fall, Disappeariences, Silent Moves and Crossing Body Shadow.
