Abstract
This 98-page book, edited by Jean Gear, Jayne Johnston and Barry Kissane consists of various reflections associated with the National Professional Development Program (NPDP) mathematics project conducted in Western Australian schools over 1995 and 1996. The project was a collaboration between The Mathematical Association of Western Australia (Inc.), Education Department of Western Australia, Catholic Education Office, Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University and Murdoch University. The fourteen chapters of this timely book will help mathematics teachers, both primary and secondary, to understand better the significance of the Student Outcome Statements for curriculum development and classroom practice.
