Abstract

This chapter examines the sense and perception of Gilles Deleuze's concept in the information–control continuum. It analyses the place of the Deleuzian notion of the philosophical concept in the larger field of conceptuality and its theorisation, and suggests that Deleuze's concept can be applied not only to philosophy but, indeed, to all language and perception. The chapter explains that when Deleuzian concepts are connected to habitual thought, they do not simply replace older concepts but, in fact, open up a different way of viewing a given discursive field.
