It focuses on the musculoskeletal or biomechanical point of view as opposed to a pharmaceutical approach. In dealing with headaches, the text looks into psychology, dietary and adjustive therapy amongst others, rather than just drug therapy. The work covers the recognition and management of the various pain phenomena and provides extensive overview of the many different types of headaches and treatment of head pain, taking a dental/chiropractic perspective.
