Abstract
This paper reviews some technologies utilised for groundwater monitoring programs applicable mainly to shallow, unconfined aquifers; especially the monitoring, well design, drilling, pumping, purging and sampling aspects. The roles of program objectives, sampling protocol, analysis and Quality Assurance are also examined.
