Abstract
The topic is reviewed under the headings (1) induced membrane events; (2) parameters for electroporation and DNA uptake; (3) types of electroporation pulses; and (4) pore parameters, DNA uptake and integration. Information is tabulated on reports in the literature of transient and stable expression of genes introduced into higher plant cells by electroporation.
