Abstract
Dr Penny Olsen AM has published more than 130 scientific papers and book chapters, although she is best known for her 30 something books (Kennedy 2021). In a career spanning over 50 years she has been Deputy Chair of the Australian Capital Territory’s S cient ific Committee, an Honorary Professor in the Division of Ecology and Evolution in the Research School of Biology at the Australian National University and an Australian Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow. She was also the recipient of the 1997 D. L. Serventy Medal for excellence in published work on birds. She is thus well qualified to author this book on the history of Australian bird art…
