Abstract
Fuzzy Decision Making is a suitable method used by decision makers in uncertain situations. In this method, several alternatives can be chosen for a specific process considering different criteria each with a special weighting. In this paper, the application of Fuzzy Decision Making theory for optimal selection of sites for distribution substations in a power distribution network and the best technical and economical method of electrification systems for low and medium voltage costumers is investigated. The arithmetic mean of weightings suggested by experts is used. The power distribution system of Farhangian city in the north-west of Iran is considered as the case study.
