Abstract
This paper discusses the development of an interactive multimedia program to support the development of scientific inquiry skills amongst secondary students. The program simulates a complex learning environment based on observational data recorded from actual voyages to Antarctica. The paper discusses some of the design decisions, and traces the evolution of the package.
