Abstract
Environmental Technology Centres (ETC) can enable the diffusion of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies at a range of levels within the wider community. This can increase the awareness and understanding of these issues as well as play a significant part in the innovation cycle. This has been demonstrated at the Murdoch University ETC through fieldwork in remote areas and access to the local community through the city-based location.
