Abstract

This course is designed to teach physical therapists and orthopedic physician assistants to evaluate and treat patients with neruomusculoskeletal conditions involving the lumbosacral, thoracic and cervical spine, the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle. Course content includes a review of the anatomy of the neuromusculoskeletal system to include the shoulder girdle, axial structure, and lower limbs. Subject matter experts will discuss specialty areas of general medicine, pharmacology, orthopedics, and radiology as related to neuromusculoskeletal evaluation. Methodology will include lecture, demonstration, and lab exercises. This course is partial fulfillment for credentialing Army physical therapists as neuromusculoskeletal evaluators.
