Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises Singapore Strategy Entrepreneurial Orientation Organisational Performance Environment
This study investigated how the various dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) influenced the relationship between the strategic decision-making process (SDMP) and performance within Singapore Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). It further examined how the environment moderated the relationship between SDMP and organisational performance (Performance). A quantitative research design was adopted to approach SME owners/directors, identified via the SME 1000 database, and training workshops aimed at SME owners/directors. Data collected from a final usable 278 SMEs using questionnaires were analysed utilising PLS-SEM. This study offered support and understanding for the model hypothesised. The conceptualisation and measurement of the constructs used were the key contributions. The findings improved awareness and provided valuable information to SME owners/directors in developing strategy best practices.</p>
