Abstract
Cruising continues to be a very popular form of holiday. However policy changes are afoot for the industry. There is increased interest in regulating the cruise ship industry, whether by individual countries or a more co-operative approach with the international community. The implementation of the most recent update to the Athens Convention, the 2002 Protocol, hangs in the balance. This presentation will outline the current state of affairs and potential future directions.
