For healthcare professionals who treat HIV Disease
Upon completion of this educational program, participants should be able to:
Identify osteoporosis/osteopenia and cardiac complications in patients being treated for HIV disease
Identify different metabolic alterations as well as body-fat redistribution in patients being treated for HIV disease
Compare data on the relative contribution of protease inhibitors, nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors to these long-term complications
Recognize the principles of diagnosis and the clinical management of these conditions
