Abstract
At the time of writing, the South Pacific has been gripped in one of the most devastating Category 5 Tropical Cyclones, Yasa. In Fiji, whilst much of the main island of Viti Levu was largely unscathed, the second largest island, Vanua Levu, bore the brunt of the cyclone causing widespread damage and loss of life. It takes a humanitarian crisis in the South Pacific region to highlight the precariousness of the Islands, especially their vulnerability to climate change...
