Desalination, Vol.106(1-3), pp.439-442
1996
Abstract
Wastewater reuse engineering was designed and then operated in Hongshan, a small town in Zhejiang Province, China, in order to solve pollution and shortage of water resources due to the development of town enterprises. The results showed that a series structure design and cycling model may be two effective modes for saving water and pollutant cuts, and wetland strategy should be a component part of the integrated planning for town-enterprise wastewater reuse. This case study can provide a sound basis for the optimum utilization and pollution avoidance of water resources.
