Competency in Australian drama teachers: Mapping the terrain
NJ (Drama Australia Journal), Vol.28(2), pp.55-67
2004
Abstract
This paper describes a study where the notion of competency was explored with drama teachers as a way of revealing the complex nature of their work. Six conceptions were identified that help illuminate the multi-faceted dimensions of drama teaching. These experientially based conceptions have implications for pre-service teacher education and the professional development of drama teachers.
