Abstract

The authors regret to clarify further reporting that admissions due to or associated with kidney diseases were used as an outcome in this research. Therefore, we propose correction to the following sentences on Page 2 under Methods and Hospitalisation data (2.1.2) for clarity – “For each day, we obtained the date of hospital admissions and the counts of new admissions due to or associated with kidney diseases, including total kidney diseases and specific conditions such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), kidney failure, urinary tract infection (UTI), kidney stones, acute kidney injury (AKI), glomerular disease and tubulointerstitial disease, and excluded admissions for receipt of dialysis (ICD-10 code Z49), to assess the possible association between temperature and kidney diseases.” And – “Disease classification was based on discharge diagnosis reflecting above kidney related conditions”. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
