Cruise ship operators, Their passengers, Australian consumer law and civil liability acts - Part Two
Australian & New Zealand Maritime Law Journal, Vol.30(1), pp.12-27
2016
Abstract
This is the second of two papers. Part One, published in 2015 ANZ Mar LJ, outlined the common law and statutory duties owed to a passenger carried under a contract of carriage. Part Two deals with particular issues that will be faced by those assessing passenger claims according to Australian law. It concludes by considering, albeit briefly, the alternative - the Athens Convention 2002.
