Electrochemistry: the interfacing science
Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, Vol.168(1-2), pp.21-42
1984
Abstract
In this paper, the many and varied ways in which electrochemistry acts as an interface will be examined. Examples will be drawn from archaeology, geology. the environmental sciences, the health sciences, mechanical, civil and electronic engineering, physics and the other branches of chemistry. In addition to its claims as the interfacing science, electrochemistry is also the science of the electrode/electrolyte interface. It will be shown that the chemistry of the electrode/electrolyte interface is important in determining the area in which electrochemistry plays Its Interfacing role.
