Abstract

Life Sciences & Biomedicine Psychiatry Science & Technology
Previous literature has displayed a predictive potential of emotional intelligence (EI) and spirituality in explaining psychological well-being (PWB). However, insufficient research among emerging adults in non-Western communities exists. We explored the contribution of EI and spirituality toward the PWB for N = 477 participants (79% females). The results displayed significant support for the hypotheses, suggesting the predictive effect of EI and spirituality on PWB and the remarkable interconnections between EI and spirituality in emerging adults. We extended existing knowledge to non-Western communities.
