Abstract
Excess molar volumes of binary liquid mixtures of (heptane or octane or dodecane +n-hexylamine or diethylamine or di-n-propylamine) atT= 298.15 K, measured with a tilting dilution dilatometer, are reported. The excess volumes are positive over the entire concentration range for all mixtures and increase with increasing length of then-alkane molecule for mixtures containingn-hexylamine and di-n-propylamine, while the maximum is observed for mixtures of (n-alkane + diethylamine).
