Australian Quarterly, Vol.73(5), pp.16-17
2001
Abstract
The great national political Issues increasingly revolve around the global transformation of society, known generally as globalisation, and the specific impact of this process on Australia as a nation and society. Globalisation, with its political, economic, environmental and cultural aspects, is causing the realignment of political forces within Australia, and in particular has generated the rise of the Green/Democrat/One Nation based third force challenging the Long entrenched and rarely challenged two party system. This paper considers the implications of globalisation for national politics.
