Recent preliminary research in elite male field hockey indicates that high-intensity periods occur frequently during matches, but that different types of movements may occur at different times of the match. Therefore, in this study we aimed to establish the nature and structure of the relationships between high-intensity movement characteristics during international male field hockey matches.
