Abstract
She sinks in her teeth and bites, rolling the firm white apple around her tongue. Making herself more comfortable, she opens her book and starts to read: For centuries luxury and lust go hand in hand. The book describes a poem from A.D 400. Luxuria's hair is perfumed, she has given herself over to voluptuousness (deliciis)...and to pleasure (voluptas). The sun warms her eyes closed...
