Abstract

Density data for dilute aqueous solutions of cresols obtained in the temperature range (298.15 to 573.15) K and at either atmospheric pressure, or at pressures close to the saturated vapour pressure of water are presented along with partial molar volumes calculated from the experimental data. The data were obtained using both a recently designed flow vibrating-tube densimeter and a commerical vibrating-tube cell DMA 602HT. Additional data for phenol(aq) at atmospheric pressure measured by the latter densimeter are also presented.
