Periplasmic proteins of Rhizobium: Variation with growth conditions and use in strain identification
FEMS Microbiology Letters, Vol.35(1), pp.65-69
1986
Abstract
The pattern of periplasmic proteins released by lysozyme-EDTA treatment of fast-growing rhizobia was influenced by the growth phase, the pH of the medium and the carbon source. The pattern for a particular strain of Rhizobium grown under defined conditions was characteristic of that strain, and we suggest that it can be used as an adjunct to existing methods of strain identification.
