Abstract
The taxonomy of three species of monogeneans from the gills of Argyrosomus hololepidotus is detailed. Calceostoma glandulosum is redescribed and compared to previously unpublished morphometric data on C. calceostoma collected from Tunis and the Gulf of Gascogne. Two species of the genus Diplectanum, D. oliveri n. sp. and D. glandulosum n. sp. differ from other closely related diplectanids in a range of morphological characters but most importantly in the different size and morphology of the penis.
