Abstract
The aim of thiis study was to conduct a standardised survey at a number of high conservation value refuge sites throughout the Margaret River to provide a baseline of important ecological indicator groups (i.e. fishes, decapod crustaceans and other aquatic macroinvertebrates) upon which future condition can be monitored. Secondly, the study aimed to assess the data gathered with comparable results of Morgan & Beatty (2003) to determine whether there have been changes to the ecological condition of those sites over the past decade.
