Abstract
In 2022, the Department of Home Affairs (the Department) commissioned researchers from the University of Queensland (UQ) in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) to evaluate the effectiveness of the Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot (CRISP) program and a reformed Community Settlement Program (CSP). These programs, along with the Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP), are the pathways through which refugees receive settlement support when arriving in Australia, with HSP as the main pathway.
This Evaluation Plan provides the background and purpose of the evaluation, followed by the evaluation approach, the timing of data collection, and identified risks and mitigating strategies over the life span of the evaluation.
