Abstract

The guide is for all Victorian Public Service (VPS) employees with an interest in place-based approaches. Stakeholders from other sectors may also find the guide useful. The guide provides a contemporary, evidence-informed and practical collection of ideas, advice, case studies, tools and resources to support the effective design, implementation and evaluation of place-based approaches. It builds on the direction and innovations in the Victorian Government's A Framework for Place-Based Approaches released in 2020 and the Victorian Place-based whole of government Agenda by providing guidance for how governments, community groups and other stakeholders can collaborate effectively to make a meaningful difference for their local communities.
