About me

My interest is in insect ecology with research to date encompassing entomology, butterfly conservation, bumble bee pollination, and honey bee monitoring. I have several publications on honey bees, covering long-term data collection using automated continuous sensor systems, predictive health monitoring, genetic variations, disease analysis, and non-invasive techniques for measuring colony physiology. Current research includes documenting the density of feral colonies of European honey bees in Australia, investigating competition with native animals, sampling for diseases, and applying automated monitoring to colonies living in the absence of management.
