About me

Dr Akilew Adane is a Senior Research Fellow (Epidemiologist) with 15 years of research and teaching experience, focusing on Aboriginal maternal and child health. He is an expert in complex (linked and longitudinal) data management and statistical analyses. He holds a PhD (UQ), MPH (Epi & Biostat) and BSc (Public Health).

His research interest includes:

  • Perinatal health
  • Mental health
  • Child development
  • Life-course epidemiology
  • Developmental Origins of Health and Disease DoHaD)

He is available for RHD (master's and PhD) and honours supervision and mentorship. He is also keen to provide quantitative data analysis support and epi and biostat consultations.
