About me
I received my M.Sc. in Mechatronics and Automatic Control from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in JB, Malaysia, in 2012, and my PhD degree in Electrical-Control Engineering with a specialization in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from Flinders University in SA, Australia, in 2017. Following that, from 2017 to 2018, I served as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate and R&D Consultant at Flinders University and the Electronics Industry in Adelaide, Australia.
In 2019, I joined Murdoch University as a Lecturer of Electrical Engineering. I currently hold the position of Senior Lecturer and serve as the Academic Chair of Undergraduate Engineering Programs.
At Murdoch University, I am actively involved in teaching and coordinating both undergraduate and postgraduate units, which include the following units :
- ENG109 - Engineering Computing Systems
- ENG611 - Intelligent Systems
- ENG612 - Autonomous Systems
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am actively conducting research and collaborating closely with both industry and academia and have been the recipient of several research grants. I am also supervising several PhD students. My areas of research specialization encompass the following:
- Robotics and Autonomous Systems
- Planning and Trajectory Optimization
- AI & Computational Intelligence
- Learning-Based and Intelligent Control
Additionally, I have been actively involved in editorial activities for various journals, holding the role of Guest Editor for:

Lastly, I am an IEEE Senior Member and have assumed leadership positions within the organization. In 2020, I served as the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), WA Chapter, and in 2021, I took on the role of IES Chair.
