About me

My research focuses on physical chemistry, with a particular focus on interfaces, colloid science, encapsulation and Pickering emulsions.

I completed my PhD at the University of Newcastle, Australia investigating delivery of particles to the air-water interface via di/electroporetic forces. I then undertook postdoctoral research at the University of Leeds' School of Chemical and Process Engineering formulating non-spherical emulsions and microcapsules.

My work explores how particles behave at interfaces and how we can use these systems to develop novel materials and delivery systems. I am particularly interested in particle-stabilised emulsions and the development of sustainable microcapsule technologies with applications ranging from consumer products to environmental solutions.

I welcome enquiries from prospective students interested in experimental physical chemistry, interfacial science, and materials development. I enjoy supervising students who are curious about applying fundamental chemistry to solve real-world problems, and I am happy to discuss potential research projects in my areas of research.
