About me
I am the Dean of the School of Allied Health at Murdoch University. Prior to this role, I held academic leadership positions including Head of School, Head of Discipline, and Academic Chair across a range of health science disciplines. I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a background in exercise physiology, and my research focuses on the role of exercise in the prevention and management of chronic diseases, as well as prehabilitation and rehabilitation in clinical populations, including burns rehabilitation. My research also explores the benefits of exercise for individuals undergoing cancer treatment and recovery. I have supervised HDR students across a range of applied health and rehabilitation topics, and have worked in collaboration with clinical and research partners to support translation into practice. In my current role, I support the strategic development of allied health programs, with a focus on clinical education, course accreditation, and strengthening research and community partnerships.
