Chloe Bartram

Chloe Bartram is a visual arts researcher, photographer, and educator with over fifteen years of international exhibition practice. She is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy at Murdoch University, where her practice-led research, I have seen the stars fall, investigates archival photography, materiality, and the 1922 Wallal solar eclipse expedition. She holds a Bachelor of Photography with First Class Honours from the Queensland College of Art and Design, Griffith University, and a Graduate Certificate in Human Rights from Curtin University.

Chloe has taught across photography, humanities, and research methods units at the undergraduate level, and has delivered lectures at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, the London College of Communication, and the Photography Studies College in Melbourne. 

As Schools Project Coordinator at Murdoch, she has built and sustained partnerships with secondary schools across Perth, connecting young people to university-level critical thinking through on-campus excursions.

Her work has been exhibited internationally across venues in Australia, China, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Greece, and the UAE, and has been supported by the Australian Government Research Training Program, the J.S. Battye Memorial Fellowship, and multiple competitive arts grants.

She brings to her practice a deep commitment to community engagement, curatorial work, and the integration of creative research with public life.
