About me

I love spending time visiting Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Southwest and Central Australia and supporting people to spread their stories of good work. Often I do this in conjunction with Aboriginal community controlled organisations. Sometimes I do this in conjunction with government and industry groups. Lots of this involves writing with people from these communities. This gives me a chance to bring back accounts of good work that makes a difference. It also gives me an opportunity to share this work with people studying and learning about community development. Academics often call this practice research. I call it fun!
