About me

My focus is inherently in the area of equity and education across disciplines with a special interest in transition pathways and undergraduate success. My pedagogical approach draws on contemporary theories around social justice, technological equity and developing entelechy of aspiring students.

Divide and Conquer Numeracy: A number of innovations were implemented in a newly designed math unit to attempt to reduce math anxiety and improve student attitudes and confidence in math learning; conceptualised as a three-pronged approach that targets curriculum (innovative), learning environment (handheld whiteboards) and learning experiences (student mentors).

Transitions to University: A collaborative partnership between TAFE and MU to explore future options for aspiring university students and share professional practices of lecturers in the Higher Education space, expectations of University study and teaching and learning in the university setting.

Criminology and Social Justice: Equity within education and the justice system as relating to the introduction of Generative AI and other forms of 'technological equalizers'.
