About me

I am a Senior Lecturer at the School of Law and Criminology with research interests covering international trade law, Customs research, and law and development as it relates to developing regions. My contributions to these fields have been recognised through my publications, including a book on Single Window Systems, and my involvement with various national, regional, and international, Trade and Customs organizations, such as the World Customs Organization (WCO), the WCO East and Southern Africa (ESA) Regional Office for Capacity Building, the Shanghai Customs College, and the Kenya School of Revenue Administration. I hold an adjunct post at the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies, Charles Sturt University, and also sits on the Advisory Board Member of The Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade (IOE&IT) Africa.

I teach across Business Law and Law units. I consistently strive to rapidly advance my students' learning and understanding of the unit material and have been the recipient of a Learning and Teaching Award in 2019 and a Learning and Teaching Recognition in 2020.
