Senior Research Fellow researching aspects of freshwater ecology. Typically, my work looks at the effects of the stressors on freshwater animals - mostly insects and other invertebrates- associated with human impacts, and especially from the loss of surface water from climate warming. I am trying to find ways in which populations can survive into the future, potentially by using human-made (or anthropogenic) habitat as refuges from seasonal changes and extreme events.
