Research Interests:

Japanese language education, Second language acquisition, Learning strategies, Perceptions of language, Social media and language learning, Socio linguistics (language shift and revitalisation).


I have worked on the topic of Kanji learning, specifically in relation to non-native learners of Japanese from non-kanji backgrounds. My publications have explored attitudes, strategies, and effective methods for learning kanji. I am interested in exploring topics on sociolinguistics such as social media, language shift and revitalisation.
