About me

I am passionate about the transformative powers of education. In particular, the capacity of education to improve students’ life choices and chances. My broad educational experiences include teaching and research, as well as leadership roles in policy, curriculum design, pastoral care and staff development. Having taught across primary, secondary, alternative university entry and tertiary settings, my research focuses on individual, family, school and community factors that impact health, wellbeing and academic outcomes for young people. As a teacher and leader my strength is empowering individuals and teams to achieve excellence.
