About me

Professor Hamid Sohrabi is the Executive Director of the Health Futures Institute, the Director of the Centre for Healthy Ageing, and a Professor of Psychology and Clinical Neuroscience at the School of Psychology, Murdoch University, Western Australia.

Professor Sohrabi’s research focuses on the pre-clinical diagnosis of dementia, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, and preventive interventions for pathological cognitive decline. He is involved in several national and international research projects and has published over 160 peer-reviewed publications and three book chapters.

Professor Sohrabi began his career as a clinical psychologist in 1996 after completing his Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the Tehran Psychiatric Institute, Iran University of Medical Sciences. He completed his PhD in Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience in 2010 at the University of Western Australia.
