Jane has taught across the disciplines of criminology, social work, and law. Their PhD examined interviewing practices of police recruits and in 2022 they published a co-edited text entitled "Interviewing Vulnerable Suspects: Safeguarding the Process". Following a hiatus from academic work to pursue a career as a State Prosecutor, Jane has commenced at Murdoch University in 2025 lecturing in policing and criminal law.
