About me

I am a primary educator with a decade's experience in both the UK and Australia, in both the primary & tertiary spaces. Alongside my teaching practice at Murdoch, I mentor final year placement students and work as an academic misconduct investigator with the Student Integrity Team.

A keen sense of social justice underpins all of the research work that I do. I focus on the structural inequities that marginalise some groups from strong achievements in Australian education, and the ways in which policy & infrastructure can be made more equitable for all Australian students. My PhD research focuses on the education pathways of powerful people in contemporary Australia. I am also conducting research on self and peer assessments with and for pre-service teachers.
