About me

Dr Joanne Lisciandro is a Senior Lecturer in University Preparation Pathways at Murdoch University and has taught and researched in the field of enabling education for over ten years. Her current research interests focus on the scholarship of teaching and learning in enabling education; and understanding the mechanisms that support the wellbeing, retention, success and achievement of non-traditional students in their transition to university.

Her discipline knowledge in science (Biomedical Science/Immunology) and strong quantitative research background uniquely expands and strengthens the collective potential research outcomes within an interdisciplinary setting. Joanne's early publications relate to the field of her PhD studies (immunology), and she published four articles in high impact journals during her PhD candidature.
