About me

I earned my PhD in Oceanography from the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, India. My PhD research focuses on the upper oceanic responses induced by tropical cyclones over the north Indian Ocean, utilizing model simulations and observations. During my PhD, I was selected for the Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship program funded by the Government of India, allowing me to pursue part of my PhD at Purdue University, USA. I have published my research articles in high-ranked journals such as JGR: Oceans.

In my current role as a postdoctoral researcher, I am investigating extreme events within the context of climate change across the western Australian region. This work involves the dynamical downscaling of CMIP6 general circulation models using the Weather Research and Forecast model. The simulations obtained are utilized to study events such as tropical cyclones, cold fronts, and blocking highs that impact western Australia.
